We use it and have a very high accuaracy rate, but we go a little further. (A cookie is a small parcel of information that is passed and stored on the persons computer when they click on your affiliate link. When the user gets to a trigger event like landing on a specific page, this cookie is passed back to our system with your affiliate id on it which is automatically recorded as a sale in your account at the agreed commission)   2) P3P privacy policy settings. When a buyer arrives at a thankyou page we use that information to establish you as the sales affiliate by reading their cookie. But if your referral has his browser security settings up too high, which is fairly common,  then their browser will reject 3rd party cookies in the first place if we don't have compact policy defined. We have p3p compact privacy policy enabled to ensure every sale commission you are entitled to gets to you! 3) IP Tracking. If no cookie is found, our system automatically looks for the referrals IP address. This is the address of their ip provider, the company that provides their internet service. By tracking this unique number, we can identify an affiliate even if the first two strategies fail and this all happens in a split second and automatically. Our system saves all clicks and records the affiliate who referred. At time of sale it scans all identical ip addresses in the previous 24 hours to establish the right affiliate. Join now free>>> System configuration. Our system automatically awards the last, most recent affiliate who referred the sale. So it overwrites the old affiliate and pays the affiliate that was most responsible for the sale which is the absolute last affiliate. We used to have it configured to the very first affiliate, but we found too many affiliates "cookie stuffing" without really providing any sort of pre-sell. It was ineffective for the cookie stuffer and unfair to all other affiliates. Now you can confidently choose any product in our market place and not be concerned that most of your referrals will already have a permanent cookie on it leaving you without a sale.
